Albino Alligator Exhibit and Tour!
This Saturday, January 28, 2012
12:30pm


The DC Gator Club would like to invite you and your family to join us this

Saturday, January 28th at 12:30 pm for a special tour as we welcome Oleander

the Albino Alligator to the National Aquarium. The aquarium tour will include

a viewing and presentation about Oleander and her habitat. Also known as the

ghosts of the swamp, there are less than 100 albino gators in the world and it is

almost impossible to spot one-until now!!

 

Tickets are free for children under 3; $5.00 for children 3-11;

$8 for students 12-18; $10 adults, with a portion of the proceeds going to

the DC Gator Club Scholarship Fund.

DC Gator Club Recognized with Spirit of Florida Award PDF E-mail

Each year, the UFAA hosts its annual Clubbie Awards recognizing the best clubs and individuals at Gator Clubs across the country. This year, the DC Gator Club received the inaugural Spirit of Florida Award for its embodiment of the ideals, mission and goals of the UFAA. Accepting the award were club President Troy Flanagan, Florida Young & Involved Chairwoman Nicole Varma, club Secretary Nancy Kook, and President-elect Sean Taylor.

The ceremony, which took place during the 29th annual Gator Club Leaders Weekend Jan. 21-22, recognized the best and brightest clubs and individuals across the country.  Awards ranged from “most improved club” to “leader of the year.”  Read more about the DC Gator Club's award and see the full list of Clubbie Award winners.

Earning a degree at UF is not required. All current members of the UFAA are automatically                                                     enrolled in the local Gator Club. Along with all of the privileges provided with your                                                           UFAA membership (numerous discounts in Gainesville and many locations in Florida), your                                                         card is also good for discounts at several restaurants in the area.
